Is the helmet insulated?
The main function of the helmet is to prevent the impact of falling objects from high altitude, so can other special protections be satisfied? For example, insulation protection.
Safety helmets are divided into general work helmets (type Y) and special work helmets (type T). General work helmets only have impact resistance and are used in work environments with impact risks, such as construction, shipbuilding, etc.; special work helmets mean that in addition to meeting the protection risks of general work, they should also have the requirements specified in the product standard Special performance requirements, such as flame retardant, low temperature resistance, insulation and other functions. Among them, T4 is an insulating helmet and is suitable for electric power places. Therefore, T4 helmets are also called "electrician helmets" and "power helmets".
Not all safety helmets have insulation properties. Only T4 safety helmets can satisfy insulation properties. Each type of helmet has certain technical indicators and scope of application. So choose the target products according to the working environment.
Safety helmet national standard (GB2811-2007) A.4 stipulates (T4 category) insulation performance electrician safety helmet "suitable for the working environment that may be exposed to three-phase alternating current below 400 volts." That is, workers who may be exposed to the working environment of three-phase alternating current below 400 volts should wear T4 safety helmets with insulating properties. For example, various power plants, power supply companies, power construction companies, telecommunications and other communication construction companies.
